Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priests and deacons with the distribution of Holy Communion in order to accommodate the faithful at Mass and to bring Communion the sick of the parish. The ministry demands the utmost respect and reverence for the Most Blessed Sacrament and rubrics of the Mass. All Eucharistic Ministers must be trained by the Diocese of Cleveland. The diocese offers two training sessions a year, in the fall and in the spring.
