Funerals and Bereavement
If you have lost a loved one, know of our prayers for you and your family. We are here to assist in any way we can: from funeral planning, to memorial Masses, to bereavement support.
Ministry of Consolation
Journey into Hope
Our parish family has recently convened a “Ministry of Consolation” with the goal of supporting and praying for those who have lost a loved one.
As the Gospels remind us: “Come unto me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). As Christians, we recognize both the grief that we carry and the hope that is promised. Twice a year, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel will be offering a six-week workshop series that acknowledges the grief process, and inspires the faith and promise of life everlasting.
Beginning on Wednesday, March 27, we will gather weekly for six evenings of support, discussion, and prayer. Everyone is welcome to these sessions, whether your loved one passed last month, last year, or in the last decade. The grieving process is unique to each person, and we will strive to respect where everyone is on their journey.
